Ad-Hoc-ChoraleAd Hoc Chorale was started in 2004 and has since gained a national reputation. Ad Hoc have taken part in numerous competitions and won major awards in New Ross, Sligo and Cork. In 2010 they won first prize in the Premier Mixed Voice competition as well as the best National Choir of the festival, at the Cork Choral Festival. This mixed choir which contains a blend of youth and experience performs a wide variety of music. They have had the privilege of performing works written by members of the choir, notably Ben Hanlon and Greg Scanlon.

The name Ad Hoc alludes to the fact that when the choir began, the members only intended to perform for fun, on special occasions. Their audiences convinced them to become a fully fledged choir and Waterford music is now all the richer! €7/5?€14 family
