Waterford Pride Festival
Waterford Pride Festival traces its roots back to the early 2000’s, when a team of volunteers put together the first pride festival. The Pride Festival is an annual series of events, which celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer life.
The event has grown over the years and today, Waterford city is a city where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people are a welcome part of the wider community. This openness prompted the organisers to welcome the entire community to celebrate with us.
From its humble beginnings in the early 2000s, the event has grown to become one of the country’s biggest pride festivals. In 2013, the festival organisers took a massive leap by creating Ireland’s first Mardi Gras festival. There’s something here for everyone so why not join in the celebrations?
