In a response to the “Working Lives, 1893 – 1913” photographic exhibition, which draws on a selection of photographs from the Poole and Mason collections, students from Waterford College of Further Education Advanced Certificate in Photography Course have undertaken a project, which demonstrates a personal engagement with and interpretation of the Poole and Mason images while drawing on working lives in contemporary Ireland.
The photographs exhibited are silver gelatin hand prints. Produced from black and white negative film and processed and printed by the students in the college darkrooms, and can be viewed in Central Library from the 19th – 28th May.
The exhibition will be launched by Julian Walton on Thursday 21st May at 1pm.
