Waterford Writers Weekend celebrates the art and the craft of writing annually in Ireland’s oldest city.
Waterford’s long running literature festival returns over the weekend of May 5th – 8th around Waterford City. The festival, which encororates the Sean Dunne Young Poet’s Award, promotes the art and craft of writing and celebrates creativity for all ages, bringing writers, readers and lovers of storytelling into the city for a weekend of lively events.
This year’s festival features a packed programme of events and authors including: Amnesty International director Colm O’Gorman, RTE broadcaster Sinead Gleeson, authors Gene Kerrigan and Carlo Gébler and academic Dr. Eibhear Walshe in a host of discussions, readings, workshops and talks.
Programmes are now available at tourist offices, libraries and arts venues throughout Waterford City and County.
