The Spraoi International Street Arts Festival will feature street artists from around the globe, presenting a thrilling selection of world class street theatre. Acts from Ireland and around the world lined up to bring the very best of international street theatre to Waterford.
Spraoi Festival has become something of an August Bank Holiday institution. Waterford’s narrow medieval streets, squares, quays and historic buildings provide an atmospheric backdrop to the celebration of contemporary performance culture. The majority of the events are free and suitable for all ages.
The Spraoi Festival regularly commissions and stages new street theatre work, both Irish and international, to be staged at the annual festival.
Spraoi has been staged in Waterford, Ireland, since 1993. For three days each year, residents and visitors of this medieval city, take to the streets and enjoy an international programme of street arts and spectacle.
