Waterford Festival of Architecture
Celebrate the life of the city through its inhabitants and the built environment that animates Waterford’s lively urban centre. At Waterford Festival of Architecture, participants can observe as parts of the city are animated that are often hidden or seldom noticed by its visitors and inhabitants, taking notice of the invisible traces of activity on a daily basis.
The very first John Roberts Festival took place in the year 2000 to celebrate the buildings of Waterford’s Georgian architect among them Christ Church Cathedral, the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Bishops Palace and the Theatre Royal. Waterford Festival of Architecture has grown from strength to strength and marked its ten year anniversary in 2010 by changing its name and extending its programme of the festival.
